With a background in theatre creating thought-provoking works, Karen is a published playwright. TRUTH (2018) premiered at the Adelaide Fringe as part of Australian New Works and 1915 - THE UNTOLD STORY (2018) had two seasons across 2015 and 2018. As Artist in Residence with Slingsby Theatre Company (2019), Karen drafted the stage adaptation of the #1 Australian novel LOST AND FOUND and was short-listed by the Australian Writers Guild's initiative with Sydney Ensemble Theatre (2016) with TALKING WALL. Karen directed the award winning show UNSUNG for the Adelaide Cabaret Festival (2020) and produced THE ARK, a one-act play for the Adelaide Fringe Festival (2024).
Christopher directed SWING in 2007, winning Best Short Film at AFF & St Kilda Film Festival, followed by writing & directing SONS AND MOTHERS, an ACCTA award winning feature documentary showcasing an ensemble of men with disabilities, also winning Best Australian Documentary at Antenna Documentary Festival, Best Arts Documentary at the 2014 ATOM Awards and was long-listed for a Walkley. In 2014, Christopher wrote and directed the psychological thriller, TOUCH that premiered at the Sydney Film Festival and internationally at Cannes Cinephiles. Touch opened the 2015 Manchester International Film Festival and won Best Feature Film at the 2015 Asia Pacific Film Festival.
